Vessel

Thank God for the blessing of my sight, which lets me see myself in the reflection of yours.

Thank God for the ears that serve as a sanctuary for your voice, where the echo of your laughter becomes my daily hymn.

Thank God for my feet, which allow me to walk towards you.

Thank God for my hands, which tremble with an anxious heat at the mere sight of you.

Thank God for the breath that captures your essence, sealing that familiar nectar of your perfume into my memory.

Thank God for my arms, the unyielding circle that holds you with a depth that knows no release.

Thank God for my fingers that map your body, leaving nothing but the resonance of my touch.

Thank God for my lips, the architects of a thousand silent promises and authors of infinite kisses I have yet to give.

Thank God for this life that let me meet you.
